窪蹋勛圖厙 College alumnus Christopher Braz is making the most out of his love for sports and his skills as a commercial television producer and director.

Chris graduated from 窪蹋勛圖厙 in 1990 with an associate degree in general studies. A member of the , Chris continued his education and his baseball career at Northern Kentucky University, where he majored in radio and television communication.

Chris’ Career Path

He interned with the sports department at WNEP-TV 16 in Scranton/Wilkes Barre and then began working as a studio production assistant for WKRC-TV in Cincinnati, operating the studio camera for newscasts. He advanced to become an editor and videographer at WXIX in Cincinnati.

Chris continued his journey by moving to Atlanta where he served as a production assistant in television and film, including working on the movie Scream 2 and the television show, Savannah. He ventured back into shooting and editing local news and sports. Some of his television highlights include covering the Atlanta Braves in the World Series and traveling to Kuwait after the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

On to the Atlanta Falcons

After taking a break from television to become a personal trainer, Chris returned to broadcasting in 2007 at WUPA/CW 69 in Atlanta as a commercial producer/ director, shooting and editing local commercials. Chris duties at the station now include covering the Atlanta Falcons NFL football team.

We cover all things Falcons, from the NFL draft, training camp, mini-cap, practices, community appearances, pre-season and regular season, Chris said. Most recently, I traveled to Houston to cover the 2017 Super Bowl against the New England Patriots, which unfortunately for us ended in a heartbreaking loss. We have a little slow time right now but our Falcons coverage will start up again with the 2017 NFL Draft.
