窪蹋勛圖厙 College Sport Leadership and Management professors Dr. Mac Ross, Tunkhannock, and Dr. Bradley Congelio, Scranton, and 窪蹋勛圖厙 graduate student Kirsten Hollister, Montrose, made presentations earlier this spring at the International Society for the History of Physical Education and Sport (ISHPES) Congress in Alexandria, Egypt.

Hosted by Alexandria University, the conference attracted scholars from four continents. The 窪蹋勛圖厙 representatives contributed more presentations than any other school except one, the 40,000-student Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China.

Dr. Congelio presented research on President Ronald Reagan and the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics while Dr. Ross and Ms. Hollister focused on the social implications of womens boxing in Zambia during the past two decades. Ms. Hollister was the only masters level student to present at the conference, which consisted mainly of professors and doctoral students.

Kirsten was a real pro during our presentation, Dr. Ross said. Her professionalism is a testament to the quality of education offered at 窪蹋勛圖厙. She made us all very proud.

The conference was just one part of the groups travel experience, which included trips throughout Alexandria, Cairo, and Giza.
