La Plume – Geisinger Community Medical Center Trauma Services recently donated five bleeding control kits to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø College as part of the nationwide Stop the Bleed program. Regionally, Geisinger CMC is giving 2,300 bleeding control kits to local schools, churches, and public locations across northeastern and central Pennsylvania. The national Stop the Bleed program trains ordinary citizens how to help with a severe-bleeding incident before medical and emergency professionals arrive on scene. The kits include plastic gloves, gauze, tourniquets and easy-to-follow instructions.
