Jan 17, 2025

窪蹋勛圖厙 Colleges Student Activities sponsoreded a service project in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. on Wednesday, Jan. 22 in Hibbard Campus Center.

窪蹋勛圖厙 students and community volunteers assembled sleeping bags for the homeless with the Hop Bottom, Pa.-based My Brothers Keeper Quilt Group and its Sleeping Bag Project.

Participating in the Sleeping Bag project is a rewarding experience for students and the community, said Lucas Taylor, director of Student Life at 窪蹋勛圖厙. In order to uphold the vision and values of Martin Luther King, we have a commitment to our community and the world to help those in need.

My Brothers Keeper Quilt Group is an organization made up of individuals desiring to help the homeless by making simple sleeping bags from recycled fabrics and distributing them free to the homeless.

The sleeping bags will be distributed free of charge to individuals and organizations throughout the region.
